I was formerly the CTO at , where I led the company's engineering organization. Previously, I held roles in technical strategy as well as data and machine learning.
Before Carta, I worked on Search, Learning, & Intelligence at , and was the founder and CEO of , a software startup backed by NEA and Andreessen Horowitz. I hold a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University, and BS and MS degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
In a previous life, I worked at , , and , and taught at both Stanford and UC Santa Cruz. Many years before that, I graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, in Alexandria, Virginia.
